Membership in CARES is open to the chief government officials who are responsible for the oversight and enforcement of amusement ride and recreational equipment regulations within their jurisdiction.
Officials who meet this requirement may apply for membership by downloading an application form in Word format or PDF, and submitting the completed form along with a letter from the jurisdiction requesting membership (sample attached with the application). The form and letter may be emailed or sent via postal mail to the address on our Contact page.

- Through active participation in CARES, ride safety officials share information, best practices, concerns, and solutions with their counterparts across North America.
- CARES maintains information pertaining to the safety of amusement rides operated within the United States and Canada as a public service for use by regulatory officials, industry, and consumers.
- CARES communicates with industry through forums such as the ASTM F-24 industry standards committee; safety seminars held annually by AIMS, NAARSO, and IAAPA; and through the CARES Advisory Board.
